For AWS re:Invent 2023, targeting participants from India, AWS aimed to create genuine excitement and forge strong connections. To help them achieve this, we designed an approach that involved crafting a personalized direct mailer to accompany attendees from India to Las Vegas. The objective was to establish enduring connections with each attendee. Inside the mailer, recipients found essential travel items like an eye mask, luggage tag, and wash bag, along with a mock passport containing event details. This kit aimed to alleviate any apprehensions about the event's scale and serve as a practical travel companion. Additionally, a QR code linked to a microsite housed personalized invitations from notable delegates. The initiative achieved remarkable success, garnering international recognition at the event with a 100% retention rate.
