Platform Selection The AppAnnie report highlighted Truecaller as 2018’s 4th most downloaded app in India and by 2019 the app was downloaded 500 Mn times! Execution Free Fried Chicken Calling! Using TrueCaller in the most Innovative way ever because people might ignore notifications but they would never avoid a missed call! 3 cell phone numbers were selected Renamed them as “Get free fried chicken @ KFC today” on TrueCaller KFC started giving missed calls to it’s fans Missed call numbers were searched on TrueCaller just as planned As the fans searched the number they were clearly surprised! The loyalists posted screenshots of the offer on their social handles making the communication go viral and pushing other KFC Lovers to hunt for the offer! Results One Day, 3 numbers and all the success! Business Front With just the cost of 3 sim cards, KFC saw a whopping 50% increase in online sales and 30% increase in in-store footfalls.
